Student Complaints

USU and Unitec want to ensure that students’ needs are met while they are studying at Unitec.

Unitec has a Student Complaints Resolution Policy that sets out guidelines for resolving a complaint.

Click here to find out more about the Unitec Complaints Resolution Policy and to access the Student Complaint Form.

If you have a complaint first raise it with the person concerned. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, the Student Issues Advocate can provide support or act on your behalf at any stage of the process. If you would like more information about the process including external agencies if you have exhausted all your options at Unitec email studentadvocate@unitec.ac.nz

Student Harassment

Any form of harassment or bullying is unacceptable at Unitec. If you are unable to resolve the issue with the student, bring it to the attention to your lecturer and also talk to the Programme Leader. You can also contact the Equity and Diversity Manager at Unitec.
