Want to be a Student Rep.?

Leadership starts right here, right now!

As a Rep. you would be expected to attend at least 3 meetings a year, undergo an introductory training session, refer students to the appropriate services at Unitec when requested and if unsure to USU, keep in touch with your class and USU and be respectful of the diverse range of students that make up Unitec.   You wouldn't need to worry about serious cases of harassment or conflict, students personal problems or employment concerns of staff members. Rep. duties should also never interfere with your studies!

The USU Student Rep. Coordinator and all of USU is here to support and guide you in dealing with a range of feedback. They'll provide initial training and more where necessary, help with communication, provide information from feedback sources USU uses and facilitate the Rep. System.

If you are interested in becoming a Student Rep., have any questions or would like to know who the Rep. is for your programme please contact the USU Student Rep. Coordinator on usueducation@unitec.ac.nz or (09) 815 4321 ext. 7380 or at the USU Offices, B180, The Hub, Mt Albert Campus.
