Student Wellbeing Pou Aroha staff are meeting many students who are finding it increasingly difficult to balance study, paid work and life. Many students are struggling to eat well and we want to help.
We are keen to establish a food bank which will be administered by Student Hardship / Student Wellbeing Staff so that our students can at least get food for themselves and family dependents.
You can give to this food bank!
During Unitec Spirituality Week (August 15 – 19) you can drop off cans or other non-perishable food items at the following locations :
USU Reception in the HUB of Bldg 180
Long Black Cafe
Waitakere Student Central
Albany Campus Social Commons
The more cans and other items we have, the more of our students we can support.
Check your cupboards or add an extra when you next go shopping.
Any cans collected which are additional to our needs at Unitec will be donated to the Auckland City Mission.
