About Unitec
If you’re new to Unitec, it can be a bit hard to get your head around this place – let alone find your way around! There are three Unitec campuses in Auckland:
Mt Albert campus
The Mt Albert campus is surrounded by 55 hectares of tranquil green lawns, trees and gardens, it is such a big campus that there is a free hop on – hop off shuttle that you can use to take you to the other end! The Mt Albert campus has a range of on campus shops, cafes, and a licensed bar called Carrington’s – a great place to go to have a beer after your classes on a sunny afternoon.
The Mt Albert campus also boasts a spectacular Marae and has purpose built facilities for design, performance arts – including dance studios and theatres, and trades buildings where you’ll see boats and houses being built right here on campus!
Waitakere campus
Not too far away, the Waitakere campus is in Henderson, at the heart of a strong, supportive West Auckland community. It's just a quick walk to the many shops and cafes of central Henderson, and you can even go shopping or to the cinema between lectures – just across the road!
The campus has recently been extended to include a new learning centre and library. The new facilities combine technology, art, and sustainable architecture and design to create a state-of-the-art learning environment for Unitec students, as well as providing library resources and public spaces.
Northern campus
The Northern campus has relocated from Takapuna to Albany. Unitec offer the very best training to meet the huge demand of skilled workers in the growing areas of trade training, healthcare, business, communication and IT.
The new campus is located at 10 Rothwell Avenue, Albany.
